The Hong Kong Association of Doctors in Clinical Psychology (HKADCP)
Established in 2012, the Hong Kong Association of Doctors in Clinical Psychology (HKADCP) is a professional association comprised of registered members from clinical psychologists with a doctoral degree. Our mission is to establish a community composed of clinical psychologists of high professional standard so as to respond to the needs of the community, particularly the socially disadvantaged.
It is our notion that members of the HKADCP should be accountable to the public both locally and internationally. In light of such a notion, we seek to maintain collaborative relationships with related authorities and professional organisations, including the Society of Clinical Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA, Division 12) and the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP).
The efforts of the HKADCP to proactively regulate its registered members to ensure high standards for clinical psychology practice in Hong Kong have been recognised by the HKSAR Government and the entire community.
Being a professional organisation, the HKADCP has been committed to the delivery of quality mental health services to children, families, and adults, particularly the socially disadvantaged. It is hoped that through various alliances and cooperative agreements, the HKADCP will contribute to the well-being and interests of the Hong Kong public.
