Ethics and Considerations for Online Therapy


Due to the COVID-19, many people work from home under the media support such as ZOOM, TEAMS, or Skype, clinical psychologists are no exception. The technology facilitates clinical works and online therapy is becoming a trend for coming professional application. For such, it is crucial to ensure the safety and ethical competence of clinicians in relevant application. 

The Ethics Committee of HKADCP organized a workshop on May 27, 2020 and introduced the ethical guidelines to members for practical purposes. To enrich the understanding of the community, health professionals and health care related personnel of NGOs were invited so that relevant ethical standards would be upheld and at last service recipients will be benefited.
